Job Responsibilities
  • Device and execute strategies to obtain better pricing than competition
  • Activities range from initial white paper proposals through early product definition, collateral generation (application notes and data sheets)
  • Improve new business win rate by leveraging Global Supplier Managers and personal experience
  • Review all quotes in final stages of completion and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing
  • Educate /train junior level commodity specialists
  • Provide expert knowledge with respect to material pricing in a list of commodities

Job Requirements
  • Degree/ Diploma in Engineering / Procurement / Business Administration
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in electronics industry - EMS/OEM/component suppliers
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years in commodity buying /selling in electronics industry
  • Experienced in dealing/negotiating with suppliers
  • Understanding of commodity and commodities interest in digital IC, Memory, LLD and RF optics, Connectors, Sockets, Cable assembly and PCB
  • Understand market place, supply base, technology, manufacturing process and cost
  • Experienced in dealing/negotiating with suppliers
