Our client is a US-based Fortune 1000 company providing electronics manufacturing services (EMS) services to OEMs of telecommunication equipment, computers and related products for business enterprises, video/audio/entertainment products, industrial control equipment, testing and instrumentation products and medical devices.


Job Responsibilities
  • Focal point for global management/coordination with all divisions deriving the optimum fabricated parts suppliers' database preferably with global presence
  • Establish and manage all aspects of supplier selection and development activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI), Prototype and Production business, as well as supplier selection and development activities
  • Establish and manage supplier certification and second source program, up to date core AVL specific to customer needs with competitive pricing
  • Market monitoring and trend update.
  • Identifying and managing programs for cost reduction/localization of preferred suppliers
  • Research and establish supplier capabilities globally as a database for other divisions to access
  • Initiate supplier quality management/improvements. Ratings, measurements, delivery vs. quality, etc. Acquisition of supplier in-process data, evaluating process capability, arranging regular status conference calls etc. Timely reporting of vendor performance for improvement

Job Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 6 years working experience in Electrical/Electronics manufacturing environment and services
  • Familiarity with low cost region suppliers for high mix/low volume business
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required Kowledge of purchasing functions is an added advantage
